Distinguished Professor Robert Tejada in the UH College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences received fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.

Tejada, a Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished Professor of English and Art History, is one of 184 artists, writers, scholars and scientists awarded the prestigious fellowship this year. He has penned more than a dozen books throughout his career, but it’s his most recent collection of poems, started in the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown, that earned him the Guggenheim Fellow.
